- As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
- Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments

My Day
As you know (if you read the other post) Saturday was my birthday. It started off really great. My mom, sisters and sister in law all got together for a morning of foot pleasure. We went to 99Nails and got pedicures. I haven't had one in a while so this was way overdue. Here we are just getting started. From left to right is my sister Heather, sister in law Sky, Mom, and Me. (my other sister Danielle was a little late getting there so she isn't in the picture.)
I was the first one done with my pedi. I soon found out that this was because I was the only one who wasn't offered a design on my nails. I was a little bit sad about that and I pouted a little. (hey, it's my party and I'll cry if I want to) So Sky asked if I could get a design and so this amazing talented guy painted my toes. Here is what the final products looked like...

Starting at the bottom middle and going counter clockwise is Me, Sky, Heather, Danielle, and Mom. My mom asked if the guy to put a Mickey Mouse on her toe (the woman is obsessed with Disney) she was thinking that he would just do the standard 3 circles to make the outline of a Mickey head, but no. He used the picture of Mickey Mouse off of my mom's purse to paint a full cartoon Mickey. I couldn't believe it. It looks like a sticker. I thought mine was pretty cool too. I had the same guy paint a Hibiscus on me. It seriously looks like a decal that was stuck on instead of something that was painted. It was really awesome.
After our pedicures we went to lunch. Here is a picture of my mom and me at lunch.

And the sweetest husband ever arranged for these flowers to be delivered (by his floraly connected mom) to me. The lilies and white roses are from Jason and the red roses are supposed to be from Dyson and Ridgedon. It was such a nice surprise to see such beautiful arrangements that were just for me.

Picture Perfect
While my incredibly talented friend Sara was in Utah for a short visit, I was able to persuade her to take some pictures of our family. She has such an amazing talent for photography and I was so excited when we were able to fit the photo session in her tight schedule. I love this picture of me and Jas. I have wanted pictures of just the two of us for a while and I absolutely love it. There is also a colored version which I love as well.
We went up Big Cottonwood Canyon around 8:00ish for our glamor shots, and it was FREEZING! Being the really super great mom that I am, I did not think about what the temps would be and did not bring any jackets at all. There goes the mom of the year award. We did the best we could do under the chilly circumstances. But one of the kids is pulling a face in almost every photo. Oh well, what can ya do?
Some of the candid ones were my favorite.
The boys were throwing rocks into a little stream that was on the other side of this log. Ridge had a blast.
And this one is one of my favs of the fam. This was one of the few that Dys or Ridge weren't pulling a face. Thank goodness we could get a few. Although I do have to admit that the ones with the funny faces are really cute to. They show the personality of the kids and they make me laugh. Thanks again to Sara and Jayson for being willing to take time out of their hectic lives to take some pictures of us. It's nice to have something more than a snapshot to prove the Jason really was here for a few weeks.

Interjection by Jas
I just wanted to thank Amanda for keeping me and everyone else up to date on what was happening with the fam during all this traveling and what not that we are doing. She rocks! In point of fact, when I went back to Utah for my short break from school I showed up looking like this...

Fortunately, Amanda quickly remedied the situation. Well, after my six weeks at home I came back here and realized that I forgot to have her give me a hair cut before I left So I asked one of our good friends, Renny, if he would be so kind as to help me out. So, here is my "Reniour Special" after a good day at the beach studying.

Medical Mystery
Yesterday was supposed to filled with fun and swimming. Dyson even invited his Nana to join us. We were getting ready to go when my mom noticed something on Ridge's shoulder. I looked at it and this is what I saw...
It looks like a bruise but is a huge knot of some kind. It is about as big as a Biggie (shooter) marble. It kind of freaked me out. So I immediately called his doctor and luckily was able to get in that morning. So instead of getting in our swimming suits, we dressed for a busy day of doctor visits.
When we saw the doctor he was a little perplexed. He wasn't quite sure what it was. He checked his organs and lymph nodes to make sure things were looking OK there, and then ordered an ultrasound up at Primary Children's. He told me that he didn't think it was cancer because his spleen and liver weren't enlarged and he wasn't growing any new lymph glands, but he wanted to make sure. Of course after hearing the "C" word I was a little freaked out. But there wasn't much I could do at that point.
They were able to get us into PCMC that afternoon so we took my mom to her doctor's appointment, got some lunch and headed up to the hospital. Luckily we didn't have to wait long and we were in the ultrasound room having a look at the mysterious bump. Ridge did really well. He held really still for them and he didn't cry. The tech that did the ultrasound used all the right words. He told Ridge that he was going to look at his arm with a camera and he was going to put some lotion on his arm too. Ridge was all about the lotion. He gets into my lotion all the time (he puts it in his hair) Anyway, he did really good and I was so proud of him.
After the ultrasound the tech called the doctor in to look at the film. I thought for sure I would either have to wait forever or they would send me home and have the doctor call me later, but I was pleasantly surprised when the doc walked in and looked at it right then.
They said they couldn't see any blood flow to the lump and so it wasn't a tumor or any kind of cancerous mass. WHEW!!! I was so relieved. He then went on to say that Ridge probably had an aneurysm in the muscle sheath, and that blood and joint fluid had probably collected there. It should go away on it's own within a month or so, and if it doesn't then they will drain it.
I felt extremely blessed to have been able to get into see so many doctors on such short notice, and to know that everything is OK. I was worried that it may be a cyst that would need surgery or worse. And with Jas gone I don't know how I would have coped with all of that.

9 Words Women Use
- Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.
- Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, Five Minutes really means at least half an hour. Five Minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.
- Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means Something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with Nothing usually end in Fine.
- Go Ahead: This is a dare, NOT permission. Warning: Don't Do It!
- Loud Sigh: This is actually not a word, but is a nonverbal statement often misunderstood by men. A Loud Sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing around arguing with you about Nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of Nothing.)
- That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's Okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.
- Thanks: A woman is thanking you. Do not question it, show surprise, or faint. Just say, “You're welcome.” (Note: This is true unless she says, "Thanks a lot." That is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say "you're welcome" at this point... it will only bring on Whatever.)
- Whatever: This is not an agreement, nor is it a compromise. It is the Kiss of Death.
- Don't worry about it, I got it: This statement is dangerous! She has told you to do something several times, and before you can get to it she is doing it herself. This will later result in you asking, “What's wrong?" For her response refer to # 3.
** Warn all the men you know so they can memorize this terminology, and avoid the inevitable arguments……. Then send it on to all the women you know to give them a good laugh… because they know it's true
