Kids, Kids, Kids

I have the most talented friends. These pictures were taken by another Grenada Girl, Lexi Shaeffer. ( You can check out her photo blog here)
We were at the beach and my kids fell asleep and she, being the ever talented photographer that she is, noticed a sweet moment in time and captured it on film for me. I absolutely love these pictures! They help me remember all the sweet moments I've had with my kids and how wonderful it is to be a mom. These pictures capture their innocence. Like I said before, I love them.
Thanks Lexi for being observant enough to see the moment before it passes, and for being a good friend to share the pics with me.

Some might think that with all the photos I have of Ridge and Rori that I either don't have any of Dyson or I do but I don't post them because I don't like him as much. Well, I don't seem to have many of Dyson. He is so busy all the time that it's hard for me to get him to sit still long enough for me to take his picture.
On his first day of preschool I had him all dressed and I asked him if I could take a picture of him and he impatiently told me no and that we needed to go before he was too late! I laughed so hard at how excited he was but was seriously disappointed that he wouldn't let me photo him, and since I didn't want to start the day off with him being upset I decided to give in to his need to get going. He is always on the go and if I do get him to pose for a picture it is usually for only a half second. I have to be fast with the camera and more often than not the pictures don't turn out. So rest assured that Dyson is not forgotten or unloved, just too busy to humor his mom for a photo op.

I know I talk alot about my kids, but that seems to be the only thing I can think of. Usually throughout the day I will think of something profound I want to blog about but by the time I get to the computer the thought has left. It seems that I can't seem to keep much of anything in there for too long unless it has to do with how long it was since the boys used the toilet. I love being a mom but sometimes I feel like I'm losing my identity as Amanda in my title: Mom. Do any of you feel like that or I am like the worst mom ever?
