Aurora has come to play!!!

Our week started a little on the stressful and emotional side. first on Sunday Jason got an extra flight in on his way home...he got a nice little side trip around the Texas airspace because their airplane decided to have a "small electrical problem"-meaning that in the middle of the flight all of a sudden all the lights went out and there was complete silence for a couple of seconds until the lights and everything kicked back on. After returning to Dallas and waiting for another plane he finally arrived home at 11:30 instead of 7:50. But he did make it home safe and sound.
Then we had 2 stressful days of waiting and hoping that Rory would make her appearance, but she had plans of her own and we had to wait until Wednesday.
I was induced around 12:30. I was doing ok, and going natural. It really wasn't too bad until 4:00pm. Then they started getting really strong. They had checked me and I was a 5. The nurses thought I could go the rest of the way, but I was in lots of pain so I asked for the Epidural. After I had the epidural I was expecting to not feel anything from the waste down but instead I started having an intense sharp stabbing pain in my left side. They couldn't figure out what it was so they just kept giving me more medication. Finally the Anethesiologist suggested they drain my bladder. Once my bladder was drained the pain was gone and so was all the feeling in my lower body. I asked for the epi around 4 and by 4:45 (i could still feel the pain) I wanted to push. They drained my bladder and checked me and I was complete. They called the doc and I delivered her in one contraction, (3 pushes) and I didn't tear! YEAH for that. She was 6lbs 7oz and 21.5 inches long. She has some hair, not as much as either of the boys but at least shse isn't bald. Her hair is a little curly too. She has my nose and ears, and Jason's feet and toes. Her mouth is shaped just like mine, but when she cries it looks just like her brother's. She is such a good baby. She slept for 7 hour streches last night and has only cried a handful of times. She is just perfect. We lover her and we are so excited to have her as a member of our family. The boys love holding her and can't get enough of her.
Aurora...Welcome to the family!
