Yesterday I bent down to set the phone on our coffee table, which happened to be up against the wall and near a doorway, so I could go put Rori to bed for her nap. When I tried to stand up and turn around I ran full on into the door frame and smacked the bridge of my nose.
It hurt so bad, I thought for sure I had broken my nose. Thank goodness there was no bleeding, but the pain was quite intense. I laid down pretty much all day yesterday because I had a pounding headache and I was having a hard time focusing my eyes. I was hoping that all would be normal today but no. My nose still hurts, there is a bruise on my nose where I hit it, and I have my very first black eyes! They aren't really dark, in fact most people would just assume I didn't get enough sleep, but in truth the dark circles under my eyes are purple and came from my self inflicted injury.
I would laugh at myself but my head is still pounding, and sudden movements are painful, so you my friends will have to laugh at me instead.
Enjoy
*OK, I have had a few requests for some pics of my black eyes, so here they are.
It doesn't show up in the photos very well, but these are the best I can get. You have to look really close and realize that I don't normally have dark circles under my eyes. Believe me when I say that they are in fact bruised even if YOU can't see it in the pics.

YIKES - no laughing here. I hope you feel better soon!
Don't you hate those moments? The first thing I always do after something like that is to see if anyone saw...even if I am alone. I don't care if I am bleeding and in need of medical attention..just let no one see me. I fell in the organ pit while the choir was singing one time....I tersely whispered, "Just l;eave me alone." And sat there until everyone was gone.

Yay! I'm so glad you left a comment, when I switched our blog address, it erased a lot of my blogging buddies list and yours was one of them. Anyway, I got the star cupcake molds at Albertson's-24 for $1. It was actually a fluke that it happened, but Jacie loved them!
What no pictures?! I wanna see your black eyes!
Yea, I was hoping to see a picture. Have Jas take one and post it for us!
Love you!
How sad!!! You better take care of yourself woman!
Ouch! And for a mommy of 3 to be feeling that yucky must have been hard. Don't you just love "graceful" moments like those? I always get so mad at myself when they happen to me.
Your kids are adorable! Congratulations on the shiners! It's always fun to show off hard won beauty marks. :) I haven't ever given myself a black eye, but I'm sure the day will come. I'm always bumping my head on things that I KNOW are there, which of course never stops me. *sigh*.
